I love this. I got this recipe on line. it is so good.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white long grain rice
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups non dairy milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 sticks cinnamon or 2 tbls ground
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make horchata

  • Step 1
    Put rice into a blender with 2 cups water. Blend until rice is broken up and water milky.
  • Step 2
    Pour into pitcher with 4 cups of water. Add cinnamon and let sit overnight. The longer it sits, the milky it will taste.
  • Step 3
    Pour into another pitcher or large bowl using cheese cloth to strain rice and cinnamon sticks out.
  • Step 4
    Add all other ingredients and mix well. Pour over ice and enjoy.
