egyptian hibiscus tea
This is a very refreshing drink! You can buy the Hibiscus flowers at a Mediterranean OR Hispanic grocery store (cheaper at the Hispanic store!). This is a traditional drink at Egyptian weddings.

Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 1/2 cup sugar, to taste
- 4 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons orange flower water
How To Make egyptian hibiscus tea

Step 1In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil and remove from heat. Add the Hibiscus flowers and let steep for 45 minutes. Do not let steep any longer than that!

Step 2Strain the tea into a pitcher. Add the sugar, honey and orange blossom water. Adjust sugar and/or honey to your taste.

Step 3Bring to room temp, then refrigerate until well chilled. Serve over ice. If you want to add a garnish, you can use orange slices and a sprig of mint.
