This is a delicious lemon flavored iced tea which I make with Saccharin Sweetener, as well as Lipton Decaffeinated Tea Bags, a bit of powdered Lemon Flavored Kool-Aid, or Wyler's Lemon Flavored Drin Mix. It's the powdered lemon drink mix that gives this iced tea lots of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pinch of baking soda
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 10 - decaffeinated tea bags
  • 28 - packets of saccharin sweetener
  • 2 teaspoons of either lemonade kool-aid or wyler's lemon flavored drin mix
  • 6 cups cold water

How To Make decaffeinated lemon flavored iced tea

  • Step 1
Add a pinch of baking soda in a 2-quart heat-proof pitcher. (I add mine to a gallon size glass jar. I displayed a photo of the gallon size glass jar.)
  • Step 2
Add 2 cups of boiling water, then add the tea bags.
  • Step 3
Cover the pitcher, and allow to steep for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
Remove the tea bags, and squeeze them to release more of the tea, then discard them.
  • Step 5
Now add the 2 teaspoons of either the powdered Lemonade Flavored Kool-Aid, or the Wyler's Lemon Flavored Drin Mix, and stir well.
  • Step 6
Add the cold water and stir.
  • Step 7
Refrigerate until chilled, then pour in glasses filled with the lemon and tea flavored ice cubes.
  • Step 8
    Yields: 2 quarts
