Cold Brewed Iced Tea

Kathie Carr

This needs no recipe but many people do not know that a really good tea can be made in this simple way. It eliminates the bitterness and is clear and pretty (unless your tap water is bad).

How to Make Cold Brewed Iced Tea

  1. Use good quality tea bags.

Fill gallon jar with cold water. Place tea bgs in jar, cover, and set in the refrigerator to cold brew.

If you like a lot of lemon flavor you can add a slice of lemon to the water.

Allow tea to cold brew for approximately 8 hours. When tea looks dark enough for your taste remove tea bags. Keep jar in refrigerator.

Serve with ice and lemon and/or sugar to suit your taste.
