buttermilk for recipes

I was making a chocolate cake recipe the other day from here on JAP and it called for buttermilk, I didn't have any on hand..looked it up online and found you could simply make your own in a matter of 5 minutes. Since I detest drinking buttermilk I found this to be the best way to have it on hand for recipes that call for it...works like a charm!

Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk (actually not quite a cup)
- 1 tablespoon of either...lemon juice or white vinegar
How To Make buttermilk for recipes

Step 1Pour 1 tablespoon of White vinegar or the lemon juice in the bottom of a one cup measuring container..now fill the rest of the cup to the top with milk...let it stand for 5 minutes, wahlaaa you have buttermilk for your recipes.
