@Celestina9000 Warning: those individuals with thyroid problems or who are pregnant should not consume bee balm. The taste is unusual (yes, I liked it!) and you will definitely need to sweeten the tea to find that happy median. A simple syrup would work out well for this tea.

How to Make Bee Balm Iced Tea


  1. Place fresh bee balm leaves and flowers in a teapot or glass bowl.
  2. Pour boiling water over the leaves and flowers.
  3. Cover and steep until cool – about 1 hour. Strain and discard leaves and flowers. Chill and serve over ice cubes. Sweeten as desired.
