1In large pan, mix sugar, coffee, water and salt. Stir over low heat til sugar and coffee dissolve. Bring to full boil.
2Reduce heat. Barely simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vodka and vanilla extract. Blend well. Cool. Fill canning or freezing jars 3/4 full. Seal. Store in refrigerator or freezer. Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.
