This recipe comes from my old recipe box. It's so old, I can't even remember making it, but I guess I did at one time.

Ingredients

  • - 4 cups sugar
  • - 1/2 cup instant coffee
  • - 2 1/2 cups 80 proof vodka
  • - 3 cups water
  • - 1/4 tsp. salt
  • - 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

How To Make alice hastings coffee liqueur

  • Step 1
    In large pan, mix sugar, coffee, water and salt. Stir over low heat til sugar and coffee dissolve. Bring to full boil.
  • Step 2
    Reduce heat. Barely simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vodka and vanilla extract. Blend well. Cool. Fill canning or freezing jars 3/4 full. Seal. Store in refrigerator or freezer. Makes about 1 1/2 quarts. from my old recipes box
