This is a very basic Aquavit recipe. If you like, you can also add coriander seeds, cardamom pods, lemon peel.... the world awaits your choice. TIME DOES NOT INCLUDE SOAKING TIME OF 24 HOURS.

How to Make Akvavit (Aquavit)

Step-by-Step

  1. Place the seeds in a glass jar. Add the vodka and screw on the lid. Shake. Let sit for at least 24 hours at room temp.
  2. Strain through cheesecloth. Taste. Add vodka until the strength is to your liking.
  3. Serve well chilled in small shot glasses. Skol...!
