We have a very large community of people from the Dominican Republic. And with that, several very popular Dominican restaurants. This drink is a Dominican drink, created by the Dominican people. It tastes like a Creamsicle Bar and is very refreshing. However, it is not diabetic friendly. You can substitute the whole milk with lower fat milk and the sugar with Splenda but the results are not the same. You can also use Passionfruit juice instead of Orange juice. Note: The "Die Dreaming" to me can only mean that this drink is "to die for".. it is very good!

How to Make Morir Soñando (Die Dreaming)

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix the milk with the sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Put the milk mixture in the freezer until VERY cold but not frozen. About 30 minutes.
  3. Take milk out of freezer and add ice to milk.
  4. Slowly add orange juice to milk while stirring constantly. Serve immediately.
  5. The trick to keeping the milk from "curdling" is making sure the ingredients are very cold.
