Another delightful spiced coffee with an Indian accent. To make it diabetic simply replace the sugar with Splenda.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 5 - cardamom pods, cracked
  • 2 - whole cloves
  • 6 - 1 inch pieces of cinnamon stick
  • 6 tablespoons sugar ot to taste
  • 6 tablespoons coffee, regular grind

How To Make masala coffee (india)

  • Step 1
    Combine water and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add cinnamon, cardamom pods, sugar and coffee into boiling liquid in saucepan.
  • Step 2
    Stir a few times and boil over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes. Make sure it does not boil over.
  • Step 3
    Strain coffee through cheesecloth or coffee filter into another pan. Keep a piece of cinnamon stick in each cup if desired. Place coffee over heat and bring to a boil.
  • Step 4
    Pour coffee between two pans until thick and creamy. Serve in cups immediately.
