hot or iced cinnamon bun coffee
Similar to a recipe from Aldi's, you can also serve this as a cold or warm coffee. DH doesn't like iced coffees, so now we can both enjoy the cinnamon bun flavor! PS A shot of Kahlua doesn't hurt...

- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup ground coffee
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 1/3 cups whipping cream, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, divided
How To Make hot or iced cinnamon bun coffee
-
Step 1For cold brew coffee, put water, grounds and 1 tablespoon cinnamon in covered pitcher overnight. Next morning, pour through a fine strainer to remove coffee grounds.
-
Step 2In a glass mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of the cream until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla, 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Stir to combine. Reserve cinnamon whipped cream in refrigerator.
-
Step 3Stir together the remaining 1/3 cup heavy cream and 1/4 cup powdered sugar in a small mixing bowl - don't whip!
-
Step 4Use a carafe or directly in individual ice-filled glasses, pour in cream and powdered sugar mixture and chilled coffee. Garnish with cinnamon whipped cream and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
-
Step 5For warm coffee: Just brew the coffee right before you serve it, then pour in the flavored cream and add whipped cream topping.
