This recipe has been handed down for generations in my family. We love it. I can be done by soaking for an hour and a half or up to overnight in case you're like me and forget it's there LOL.

How to Make Horchata (Mexican rice milk)

  1. Mix rice, cinnamon stick, sugar and 2 cups of water. Let mixture soak for a minimum of 1.5 hours (I usually do overnight)
  2. Place mixture into blender, add rest of water and milk and blend until finely ground.
  3. Pour through a strainer, if it's too sweet add more water to taste.
