This recipe has been handed down for generations in my family. We love it. I can be done by soaking for an hour and a half or up to overnight in case you're like me and forget it's there LOL.

Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 - cinnamon stick
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 cups water, divided
- 2 cups milk
How To Make horchata (mexican rice milk)

Step 1Mix rice, cinnamon stick, sugar and 2 cups of water. Let mixture soak for a minimum of 1.5 hours (I usually do overnight)

Step 2Place mixture into blender, add rest of water and milk and blend until finely ground.

Step 3Pour through a strainer, if it's too sweet add more water to taste. Enjoy!
