4 crice milk
2 ccooked white rice (can use brown rice)
1/2 tspground cinnamon
How to Make Horchata
- Combine the rice milk, rice, honey, and cinnamon in a blender or a food processor fitted with a steel blade and process until the mixture is smooth (like a milk shake), about 10 seconds.
- Pour the liquid through a fine sieve, reserving the sweetened liquid. Serve over ice.
- Helpful Hints:
Rice milk is a good beverage to serve with spicy dishes - it cools off the palate.
For 2 cups of cooked rice, combine about 3/4 cup uncooked rice with 1 1/2 cups water and cook, covered, until tender.
