Nicknamed a "Peppermint Patty" this is a fun cold weather drink and great to take in a Thermos to sporting events.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole milk (can sub 2%)
  • 3 - organic peppermint tea bags
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • - small candy canes

How To Make homemade peppermint cocoa

  • Step 1
    Combine 2 1/2 cups milk with tea bags in a saucepan and heat over medium until steaming. Remove from heat, cover, and let tea steep for 5 minutes to infuse milk with peppermint flavor. Remove tea bags.
  • Step 2
    Combine cocoa and sugar in a bowl. Whisk in the cold milk until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Return the infused milk to the heat while whisking in the cocoa mixture. Heat until steaming. Pour into a Thermos or mugs with a candy cane swizzle stick.
