Holiday Cranberry Slush

I grew up on a cattle ranch, 40 miles from the nearest grocery store. We made do alot, but the Schwan's delivery man did stop by once a month to make sure Dad's ice cream supply didn't run out. In the early '90's Mom bought a case of frozen lemonade from him and this recipe was on the box. It's been a family tradition ever since.

3- 8oz. can(s)
jellied cranberries
8 oz
frozen cranberry-apple drink concentrate
16 oz
frozen lemonade concentrate
1 tsp
allspice, ground
1 tsp
4 c
3 l
lemon-lime carbonated soda
rum or vodka (optional)


1Place jellied cranberries in mixer bowl, beat til smooth. Add concentrates and spices.
2Mix on low speed until smooth.
3Pour into one gallon bucket with lid. Add water and mix.
4Cover and freeze 2 hours. Mix again. Freeze 8 hours or overnight.
5To serve: put a big scoop into a glass and fill with lemon-lime soda. Mix and enjoy!
