I am sure this recipe did not originate in Texas, but, that is where I got the recipe. Was helping friends paint outside of house, in July, her mom brought us a pitcher full of this tea. It was sooo good. Had to have recipe. This recipe serves 50, but it keeps very well in air-tight container. Enjoy!

Ingredients For friendship tea

  • one
    18 oz jar orange flavor instant breakfast drink
  • 1 cup
    sugar, or to taste
  • 1/2
    cup instant tea
  • 1/2
    cup pre sweetened lemonade mix, like country time
  • one
    3 oz. pkg apricot flavor jello
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon, optional
  • 1 tsp
    ground cloves, optional

How To Make friendship tea

    Combine first 7 ingredients in large bowl, take time to stir and mix well.

    Store in airtight container. Enough for 50 servings.Never made up 50 servings.

    I always made up pitcher at a time. I used regular size pitcher and started with 1/4 to 1/3 cup tea mixture, add boiling water and stir to dissolve well. You may add more sugar, or more mix, or more water, you will find your own taste. It mixes better with boiling water, let cool to room temp. and serve over ice
