I keep chocolate bars in the spice cabinet for this. Everyone can have their own flavor. On weekends, I'll fill a small crockpot with milk on low, so it's always ready to go.

I like Lindt chocolate bars for this - the Cherry Chili, Pepper, and Pomegranate all make for a very special cuppa.)

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    half n half or whole milk per person
  • 1 - 3 oz
    your favorite chocolate bar (without nuts, etc - unless you like to chew your hot chocolate)

How to Make Easy hot chocolate

Step-by-Step

  1. Finely chop chocolate and place in mug.
  2. Heat half n half in small saucepan over medium high heat til steaming (don't boil it).
  3. Pour into mugs over chocolate, stir well.
