Cold Brew Coffee

Sue L

You know you could pay Starbucks your life savings to make this for you. Or just make it yourself. You don't need electricity, no coffeemaker, no French press. Try this when camping or for when your power goes out.
This is my favorite Dog Days of Summer breakfast
Cook time is steeping time.
Photo shows it black, so you can get a good look. I like mine iced with a splash of cream. Serve this hot or iced. Very smooth.

How to Make Cold Brew Coffee

  1. Place coffee grounds into the canning jar and fill to the top with cold water. Stir and cover.
  2. Let sit undisturbed on the kitchen counter for 6 hours or overnight.
  3. Strain coffee through coffee filters placed in a strainer to remove grounds.
  4. Mix coffee concentrate with equal amounts of cold water (or to your own taste preference). Refrigerate extra coffee concentrate in the jar after you clean it out.
