There was quite a few requests from people asking what to substitute in place of the Kahlúa in my Chocolate Disgust recipe. And, although the Kahlúa gives it's own unique flavoring to the recipe - you may want to try this Coffee Syrup recipe in it's place! Coffee Syrup is big in Rhode Island & Southern Massachusetts. The two main companies who make the bottled version of this syrup are Autocrat Coffee & Eclipse. Most commonly used for COFFEE MILK! To make a good glass of coffee milk - you can add 2 tablespoons of coffee syrup to 8 ounces of cold milk! I highly recommend you give it a try :)

- 2 cups brewed strong coffee
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make coffee syrup

Step 1In a small saucepan heat coffee just to simmering. Stir in sugar and vanilla and simmer 8 minutes, stirring until sugar dissolves; cool before using.
