I had this wonderful tea and a luncheon and my friend Pat shared the recipe with me.

Ingredients

  • 12(oz. packages frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice, fresh
  • 12 - tea bags
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • - fresh blueberries and lemon slices (opt.)

How To Make blueberry tea

  • Step 1
    Bring blueberries and lemon juice to a boil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Remove from heat; pour through a wire-mesh strainer into a bowl, using back of a spoon to squeeze out juice. Discard solids. Rinse saucepan clean.
  • Step 4
    Bring 4 cups water to a boil in same saucepan.
  • Step 5
    Add tea bags; let stand 5 minutes. Discard tea bags.
  • Step 6
    Stir in sugar and blueberry juice mixture.
  • Step 7
    Pour into a pitcher; cover and chill 1 hour.
  • Step 8
    Serve over ice. Garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices, if desired.
