I was introduced to these as a very young child and have always loved them. These days I seldom think of making them, but when I do--wow, what a treat! My black cow is made with Coke--not Pepsi, not root beer. Coca Cola, because it has just the right amount of fizz. Photo by: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-make-coke-float

Ingredients

  • 1 - very tall glass
  • 8 to 10 ounces coca cola
  • 3 or 4 scoops vanilla ice cream

How To Make basic black cow (otherwise known as coke float)

  • Step 1
In a tall glass place three or four scoops ice cream, one at a time, alternating with pouring Coke over each scoop. Place a scoop of ice cream, pour a little Coke over it, and repeat until glass is full.
  • Step 2
Be sure the Coke has been refrigerated and is very cold. This will make little ice crystals on the ice cream and make it all the more yummy! Enjoy!
