Nothing like a warm cup of cider on a cold day...this is a recipe that was shared with me back when I was still a Longaberger consultant, and it stuck with me because it is good!

Ingredients
- 4 - cinnamon sticks
- 10 - whole cloves
- 2 - inches fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- 2 - star anise
- 1 gallon apple cider
- - orange peel, no pith, from 1 large orange
- 1/4-1/2 cup dark rum or 2 teaspoons rum extract
How To Make spicy cinnamony cider

Step 1Place seasonings in a piece of cheesecloth and tie together to make a small bundle. Combine remaining ingredients except rum in large stockpot. Heat on med-low heat and bring to a simmer. Reduce heta to low and continue to cook 15-20 min. Cool slightly, garnish with additional cinnamon sticks and sliced oranges if desired.
