Ingredients For spiced brazilian mocha

  • 2 c
    fresh strong brewed coffee
  • 1
    square unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • sweeten as you like
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    annatto or to taste
  • 1/2 c
    milk dairy or other
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • whipped topping - optional

How To Make spiced brazilian mocha

  • 1
Mix coffee and chocolate in a heavy saucepan. Heat on very low temperature until chocolate is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly to blend.
  • 2
Add sugar and spices and bring just to a boil while continuing to stir.
  • 3
When it starts to bubble gradually add milk and vanilla, stirring until well blended.
  • 4
Continue to heat until it's where you want it (I like it good and warm but not very hot)
  • 5
Pour into cups and top with whipped topping if using. Garnish with a light sprinkling of additional cinnamon and annatto mix if desired.
