Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strong brewed coffee
  • 1 - square unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • - sweeten as you like
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon annatto or to taste
  • 1/2 cup milk dairy or other
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • - whipped topping - optional

How To Make spiced brazilian mocha

  • Step 1
Mix coffee and chocolate in a heavy saucepan. Heat on very low temperature until chocolate is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly to blend.
  • Step 2
Add sugar and spices and bring just to a boil while continuing to stir.
  • Step 3
When it starts to bubble gradually add milk and vanilla, stirring until well blended.
  • Step 4
Continue to heat until it's where you want it (I like it good and warm but not very hot)
  • Step 5
Pour into cups and top with whipped topping if using. Garnish with a light sprinkling of additional cinnamon and annatto mix if desired.
