Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    filtered water
  • 2 tsp
    assam loose leaf tea
  • 1/2 c
    milk (for best flavor use whole milk)
  • ·
    sugar, if you like your tea sweetened (i used honey)

How to Make Roiyarumirukuti (Japanese Royal Milk Tea)

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring the water to the boil.
  2. Add the loose tea directly into the water. Lower heat medium-low heat. Simmer 2 minutes. Do not boil.
  3. Add the milk. Heat gently until hot.
  4. Pour the tea through a fine mesh strainer directly into a warmed tea cup. Sweeten if desired.
