Have I mentioned that I adore hot chocolate? It's wonderful and this is another amazing way to enjoy it. For non=alcoholic just use hazelnut syrup in place of the Frangelico.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (any kind)
  • 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree
  • 2 tablespoons frangelico liqueur
  • 1 small pinch of kosher salt
  • - sweetening as and if desired
  • - whipped cream for topping
  • - more pumpkin pie spice and ground or finely choped hazelnuts - optional

How To Make pumpkin hazelnut hot chocolate

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a sauce pot over medium heat. Whisk and bring to a simmer.
  • Step 2
    Pour into mugs once hot and top with whipped cream.
  • Step 3
    If desired top with a light sprinkle of more pumpkin pie spice and ground or finely chopped hazelnuts.
