One of my favorite off-the-menu Starbucks coffees is The London Fog. Add chocolate and all's right with the world! I've had this with a lavender scented whipped cream, and it's even better! Time includes steeping time.

Ingredients For london fog hot chocolate

  • 1
    earl grey teabag
  • 1 c
    whole milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1/2 oz
    dark chocolate, chopped
  • sugar, to taste
  • whipped cream, for garnish

How To Make london fog hot chocolate

    Heat the milk to a slow simmer, do not boil. Add the teabag and steep for 8-10 minutes.

    Return pan to the stove, over low heat. Add the cocoa powder and chocolate. Stir until the chocolate has melted. Taste and add sugar to your liking. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Continue over heat until bubbles start to form. Do not boil.

    Pour into a mug. Top with whipped cream.
