Johnny Appleseed has supposed to have actually planted trees in our area. So we grow up hearing this story over and over again. I remember getting his recipe from a friend at church who brought it to a women's meeting one morning. Its very good and can also be iced. Recipe can be doubled.

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts water
  • 6 - apple cinnamon tea bags (like celestial seasonings or bigelow)
  • 4 cups apple juice, unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed, optional to your taste

How To Make johnny appleseed tea- a crock pot recipe

  • Step 1
    Bring water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags and allow to steep for 5-6 minutes. Remove tea bags from water and discard. Pour tea and all remaining ingredients into crockpot. Cover and heat on low until tea is hot and sugar, if used, is dissolved. Serve from crock pot.
