This drink is my son's specialty. We always sip this in front of the fire after Thanksgiving dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 - mug of cider
  • 1 1/2 - shots of rum
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 4-5 - cloves
  • 1 - pat of butter
  • 1 - cinnamon stick

How To Make hot buttered rum

  • Step 1
    For each serving heat a mug of rum. While this is heating, add rum, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg to mug and stir. Stud lemon slices with cloves.
  • Step 2
    Pour hot cider into mug and stir well. Top with lemon slice and butter. Add cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
