Years ago when the grandkids would come over to trick or treat in our neighborhood, I would have 2 crockpots going with this cider......one with rum....one without. It was always a hit with everyone who came to the door on cold wet nights. And it made the whole house smell good too.

Ingredients For crockpot spiced rum cider

4cinnamon sticks, broken

1 tspwhole allspice

1 tspwhole cloves
-
7 capple juice

1/3 cpacked brown sugar

butter or margarine

1 crum, optional
How To Make crockpot spiced rum cider

1Tie cinnamon, allspice, and cloves in spice bag or cheesecloth. In a crockpot, combine spice bag, apple juice, rum and brown sugar.

2Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 3 to 4 hours. Discard spice bag.

3Ladle hot punch into cups; float about 1/2 teaspoon of butter on top of the cider in each cup.
