  • 3 ounces good quality white chocolate (such as lindt or baker's), chopped
  • 1/3 cup crushed red-and-white-striped candy canes, or hard peppermint candies
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup peppermint schnapps, optional
  • - whipped cream
  • - additional crushed red-and-white-striped candy canes, or hard peppermint candies

How To Make candy cane white hot chocolate

  • Step 1
    Bring milk to simmer in heavy medium saucepan.
  • Step 2
    Reduce heat to medium-low. Add white chocolate, 1/3 cup candy and salt; whisk until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Add schnapps, if desired.
  • Step 4
    Ladle hot chocolate into mugs, dividing equally. Top with whipped cream and additional candy.
