- 1/3 cup crushed red-and-white-striped candy canes, or hard peppermint candies

- 1/2 cup peppermint schnapps, optional

How To Make candy cane white hot chocolate

Step 1Bring milk to simmer in heavy medium saucepan.

Step 2Reduce heat to medium-low. Add white chocolate, 1/3 cup candy and salt; whisk until smooth.

Step 3Add schnapps, if desired.

Step 4Ladle hot chocolate into mugs, dividing equally. Top with whipped cream and additional candy.
