We've been experimenting with hot chocolate mixes lately and came up with this one that the whole family loves. If used......the Buttershots really enhances the butterscotch flavor.

Ingredients For butterscotch hot chocolate mix

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 c
    nonfat dry powdered milk
  • 1/2 c
    butterscotch chips
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt, optional
  • 1 oz
    buttershots, optional

How To Make butterscotch hot chocolate mix

    Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, powdered milk, peanut butter chips, and salt in a large bowl.

    Pour into a 1 quart airtight container.

    For a single serving, scoop 1/3 cup (3 heaping tablespoons) of the mix into a mug and pour 1 cup boiling water over it.

    Stir until the peanut butter chips have melted and the mixture is smooth.

    Serve at once.

    Makes 1 quart of mix to yield 12 servings.
