From The Coconut Miracle Cookbook with several additions of mine. You can add more banana if desired-I prefer a subtle banana flavor in my smoothies.

Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut milk (best flavor with coconut milk that is not reduced fat)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, cubed (or canned unsweetened pineapple)
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/3-1/2 small banana (reduced from 1 whole banana)
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger, or more to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated turmeric or 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla paste or vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup crushed ice, or more if desired

Step 1Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend on HIGH speed until smooth. Start by adding 1/4 cup crushed ice (or filtered water) then more if you want a thinner smoothie. Also, it is not necessary to melt the coconut oil first. The oil is soft enough to blend thoroughly.
