How to Make Orange Liqueur

Step-by-Step

  1. Pare very thinly the bright-colored rind from the oranges (no white). Blot peel on paper towel to remove excess oil. Put peel in a 4 cup screw top mason jar. Add 3 cups of the vodka. Close jar and store in a cool dark place for 2 days or until vodka has absorbed the favor and color of the peel.
    Remove peel. Add sugar and shake vigorously until sugar dissolve
