I hate eggnog but my son loves it. I found this recipe and it is fabulous but if you forget and allow it to go to a boil, you better have a very fine sieve available or the eggnog will be very gritty.

Ingredients For eggnog

4 cmilk or half and half

5whole cloves

1/2 tspvanilla extract

1 tspground cinnamon

12 1/2egg yolks

1 1/2 csugar

2 1/2 clight rum
-
4 ccream
-
2 tspvanilla extract

1/2 tspground nutmeg
How To Make eggnog

11. Combine milk or half & half with 1/2 tsp. vanilla and cinnamon in a sauce pan and heat over lowest heat setting for 5 min. Slowly bring mixture to a boil.

22. In a large bowl combine egg yolks and sugar. Whisk together until fluffy. Whisk hot milk slowly into the eggs. Pour mixture into saucepan. Cook over medium heart stirring constantly for 3 min. or until thick. Do not allow mixture to boil. Strain to remove cloves and let cool for at least 1 hour.

33. Stir in rum, cream, 2 tsp. vanilla and nutmeg. Refrigerate overnight.
