(Pomegranate Molasses and Orange Juice). From 'Cooking at the Kasbah'. Another recipe I simplified. The original recipes uses fresh pomegranates. I like the flavor of pomegranate but not the texture of the fresh fruit. Have you ever prepped a pomegranate? Not fun!

Ingredients

  • 1-1 1/2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses, to taste (replaces 1 fresh pomegranate)
  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange flower water, to taste (start with a small amount)
  • - sugar, for sweetening, to taste (tested with local honey)
  • - very small pinch of ground cardamom or ground cinnamon
  • - ice cubes
  • sprig fresh mint or fresh lemon verbena

How To Make an easier hassir romman b'limmoun

  • Step 1
    Add ice cubes to a glass. Combine the pomegranate molasses, filtered water, orange juice and orange flower water in the glass. Stir in sweetener and if desired a very small pinch of ground cardamom or ground cinnamon.
  • Step 2
    Serve over ice cubes and add garnish of fresh mint or fresh lemon verbena.
