If making sun tea just add the mint sprigs to water while brewing. You can also use mint tea teabags if you don't have the fresh mint. Just use 10 regular teabags and 2 mint tea teabags.Brew like you would for regular tea.

Ingredients For minty iced tea

  • 1/2 gal
    water
  • 12
    regular size tea bags
  • 8 sprig
    fresh mint
  • 3/4 c
    sugar or splenda
  • 2
    lemons, sliced thin

How To Make minty iced tea

    Bring water to a boil.
  • 2
    Place teabags and mint into the pan of boiling water. Remove from the heat.

    Let it steep for 15 minutes.

    Carefully remove teabags and mint sprigs. Discard.
  • 5
    Add sugar to tea and stir until completely dissolved.

    Refrigerate until ready to serve.

    Pour over ice to serve. Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs if desired.
