This is an easy mocha coffee with a little kick that you can adjust to your liking!

yield Makes 3 quarts.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder or more if you like (i use a lot more)
  • 2/3 cup powdered cocoa mix
  • 8 cups boiling water
  • 1/3 cup instant coffee granules
  • - whipped cream

How To Make tex mex mocha

  • Step 1
    Combine first four ingredients in a large sauce pan.
  • Step 2
    Cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated. Do not boil.
  • Step 3
    Stir in instant cocoa mix.
  • Step 4
    Combine boiling water and coffee granules, then stir into milk mixture.
  • Step 5
    Pour into mugs.
  • Step 6
    Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon sticks and a small, bright red chili pepper.
  • Step 7
    NOTE: Keep hot in a crock pot to serve a crowd.
