A lovely Arabic tea that is soothing and delicious.

yield 4 -6 depending on cup size, very small cups are used in the middle East.

Ingredients

  • 2 tea bags
  • 2 teaspoons anise seeds
  • 4 cups water
  • chopped almonds as garnish - optional

How To Make shy mi yansoon - anise tea

  • Step 1
    Add anise seeds to 2 cups boiling water
  • Step 2
    Place 2 tea bags into 2 cups boiling water
  • Step 3
    Steep both for 12 minutes and strain anise liquid into tea water
  • Step 4
    Add almonds to each cup if desired.
