How to Make Hot Spiced Cider
- Poke the cloves into the orange. Be sure the buds are still visible.
- Place the cider in a large pot over medium heat. Stir in the allspice, nutmeg and brown sugar. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Bring to a slow boil.
- Add the clove covered orange to the cider. Reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. Remove the orange.
- Serve hot in mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks if desired.
