My mother makes the BEST Homemade Hot Chocolate in the world (my world). We always have it on Christmas morning. This is a close second and very good!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsweeted cocoa
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 4 cups milk

How To Make creamy hot chocolate

  • Step 1
    Combine the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, vanilla and salt in a large saucepan over med heat; heat until it start to boil.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the water, slowly, mixing well.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the milk. Heat through, stirring occasionally (do no let it boil). Serve while hot.
  • Step 4
    Top with marshmallows and enjoy. Left over Creamy Hot Chocolate can be stored in the refrigerator up to 5 days. Just mix well and reheat.
