Another coffee delight. Treat yourself to a special coffee topped with frothy vanilla-infused milk with just a hint of sweetness. Of course, you can make it as sweet as you wish.

Ingredients

3/4 c
strongly brewed coffee
1/2
vanilla bean
1/2 c
milk
1 tsp
brown sugar. or to taste
cinnamon or nutmeg - for garnish

How to Make Cafe Vanilla

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brew a strong cup (actually 3/4 cup) of coffee.
  • 2Slice the 1/2 vanilla bean lengthwise.
    Place the vanilla bean, milk and brown sugar in a small saucepan.
    Bring to a gentle boil - stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat as soon as it starts boiling.
    Set aside and let steep for 10 minutes.
  • 3Using an immersion blender, bend the milk mixture until frothy - about 20 seconds.

    Alternatively, you can place the milk mixture in a standard blender and blend on high until foamy.
  • 4Pour the coffee into a serving cup.
    Top with the vanilla-infused milk.
    Top with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg.
