How to Make Limoncello (Italian Lemon Liqueur)

Step-by-Step

  1. Peel just the yellow outer layer of lemons. Try not to get the white part.
  2. Pour vodka in mason jar. Add the lemon peel and seal with the lid.
  3. Store in a dark cool place for 2 weeks.
  4. After 2 weeks boil the water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Let it cool then add it to the vodka jar.
  5. Let sit another 2 weeks. Strain out the lemon peel. It's now ready to drink.
