Ingredients

  • 24 ounces vodka
  • 7 large lemons
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

How To Make limoncello (italian lemon liqueur)

  • Step 1
    Peel just the yellow outer layer of lemons. Try not to get the white part.
  • Step 2
    Pour vodka in mason jar. Add the lemon peel and seal with the lid.
  • Step 3
    Store in a dark cool place for 2 weeks.
  • Step 4
    After 2 weeks boil the water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Let it cool then add it to the vodka jar.
  • Step 5
    Let sit another 2 weeks. Strain out the lemon peel. It's now ready to drink.
