This is one of my all time favorite cocktails! According to legend, the The "Shirley Temple" was invented by a bartender at Chasen's restaurant in Beverly Hills, to serve the then child actress who was at the time to young to enjoy a grown up cocktail, though there are many other claims to its origin. Shirley Temple herself was not a fan of the drink. She said in an interview in 1986: "The saccharine sweet, icky drink? Yes, well...those were created in the probably middle 1930s by The Brown Derby Restaurant in Hollywood and I had nothing to do with it." either way they are delicious!
