blue-footed booby

Delicious cocktail! This sweet, creamy drink is named after the long-winged seabird from the Galapagos Islands (a little more than 900 miles from the Pacific coastal shores of Ecuador in South America ). The drink uses a sugarcane-based liqueur called Aguardiente (Cana Manabita is the most well known brand) that's produced in Ecuador. If you cannot find aguardiente, Brazilian Cachaca is a nice substitute. Or, as a third option, you could use a good-quality rum (though it won't produce exactly the same results as either of the South American liquors).
