In addition to homemade Kahlua, this recipe was shared with me years ago and I promised someone on Pinched that if I came across it, I would post it, so here it is.

Ingredients For amaretto liquer

  • 2 c
    water
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3 to 4 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 pt
    100 proof brandy or vodka

How To Make amaretto liquer

  • 1
    Boil sugar and water for 10 minutes. Cool. Add 3-4 teaspoons Almond Extract and 1 Pint of 100 proof Brandy or Vodka for the Alcohol.

    Put into jar and keep refrigerated.
