A YUMMY hot drink made with white chocolate. VARIATIONS: Substitute another liquor or liqueur for the cognac, if you prefer. Try whiskey, Grand Marnier, or creme de menthe.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 7 1/2 cups milk
  • 6 ounces white chocolate
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 2 teaspoons cognac
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

How To Make white heat

  • Step 1
    Whisk the heavy cream with an electric whisk until thickened. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Pour the milk into a small pan and bring to just below boiling point, then remove from the heat. Meanwhile, finely chop the chocolate.
  • Step 3
    Whisk the chocolate, instant coffee, and cognac into the milk and continue to whisk until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Step 4
    Pour the mixture into 4 warmed glasses or mugs. Top each with a spoonful of the whipped cream, sprinkle with the nutmeg, and serve immediately.
