A friend e-mailed this recipe to me and I cannot wait to try it. I have a party coming up and just might have to try them then. All I need is some Tequila.. This recipe looked too good not to share.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp
    plus 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1
    lime wedge
  • 3 1/2 c
    cubed seeded watermelon
  • 1/2 c
    tequila
  • 3 Tbsp
    fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    triple sec ( orange - flavored liqueur
  • 3 c
    crushed ice
  • lime
    wedges and watermelon balls for garnish

How to Make Watermelon Margaritas

Step-by-Step

  1. Place 2 teaspoons sugar in a saucer. Rub the rims of 6 glasses with lime wedge, spin rim of each glass in sugar to coat. Set prepared glasses aside.

    Combine watermelon, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar in a blender, process until smooth. Fill each glass with 1/2 cup crushed ice. Add 1/2 cup margarita to each glass.

    Garnish with lime wedges or melon balls, if desired.
