Got my BonAppetit magazine yesterday and found this DELISH drink recipe in it. Of course I had to try it, I'm sipping on one right now and BOY OH BOY is it ever TASTY. I didn't have the cherries but had the Lad pick me up some juice today.

Ingredients

  •   1 c
    cherries (may substitute cherry juice)
  •   2 oz
    tequila
  •   1/4 c
    simple syrup*
  •   1 1/2 tsp
    texas pete chipotle hot sauce
  •   1 c
    ice
  •  
    smoked salt
  • SIMPLE SYRUP
  •   1 c
    white sugar
  •   1 c
    water
  • GARNISH (OPTIONAL)
  •  
    cherry & jalapeno

How To Make

    SIMPLE SYRUP: In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.

    DRINK: Place all ingredients in blender and process to desire consistency. Moisten rim of glass and coat with smoked salt. Garnish if desired.
