sour paul
Updated on Jun 25, 2021
This was the cult beverage in our region during the 80s and early 90s. There are many variations all over Germany, but this was the popular one here (Dutch border). Since we used to play around with the amounts, there was no exact recipe, so you can just try out which ratio of fresh lemon juice, syrup and gin you like. It should be still sour, though, thus the name "sour Paul". There is no cook time, but take into account the chill time of several hours. The drink tastes best when really cold.
