Historically invented by fishermen in Madeira to prevent or treat colds and flu. Spiced rum is a good substitute, but not historically correct.

  • 1 cup sugar cane brandy
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice, fresh

  • Step 1
    Whisk the lemon juice and honey until smooth. Whisk in brandy.

    Serve over ice.
